Tensions in the Persian Gulf have sharply escalated following reports of Iranian attacks on U.S. military installations in the region. Iranian state television, citing military sources, announced that strikes had been launched against American bases located around the Gulf. The announcement has heightened concern across several Gulf countries, prompting authorities to issue public safety warnings.According to the reports, Iranian forces targeted multiple military facilities using ballistic missiles. In response, local governments have urged residents to remain indoors and avoid areas near military installations as a precaution.

News agency Reuters reported that a powerful explosion was heard in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Shortly afterward, the UAE authorities closed the country’s airspace amid security concerns. Reports indicate that the Al Dhafra Air Base, which hosts U.S. forces, may have been struck by Iranian ballistic missiles, with witnesses describing large explosions in the vicinity. Further west in Bahrain, smoke was reportedly seen rising from the Al Jufair district of Manama. The area hosts the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, and the incident followed claims of an Iranian attack targeting the location.

In Qatar, the Interior Ministry issued a shelter-in-place advisory to residents after reports that a missile was aimed at Al Udeid Air Base, a major U.S. military installation. Officials stated that a Patriot missile defense system successfully intercepted the projectile. As a precautionary measure, Qatari authorities also announced the temporary closure of the country’s airspace while the situation remains under close monitoring.
