He explained that the redness and irritation were caused by a topical cream the president is applying to the right side of his neck as a preventative skin treatment. According to Barbabella , Trump is expected to use the medication for about one week, although the visible redness could remain for several weeks. The doctor did not provide details about the exact condition the treatment is intended to prevent.
The incident follows earlier observations that had already sparked public commentary about Trump’s health. In February, the president appeared to have makeup on his hand, reportedly used to conceal bruising.
