Located about 24 miles north of Detroit, the hospital became the focus of a major law enforcement response after reports of an active shooter surfaced around 7:00 a.m. The situation prompted an immediate lockdown, forcing staff, patients, and visitors to seek shelter as confusion and alarm spread throughout the facility.
Authorities say the incident began in the hospital’s parking lot, where what appears to have been a workplace dispute escalated into gunfire.
