🗽There’s Been A New Update On Talks With Iran And It’s Not Good

Tensions between Iran and the United States have intensified following reports that some of Iran’s most influential clerics issued statements calling for the deaths of President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to reports, members of Iran’s 88-member Assembly of Experts released a 10-point statement declaring Trump and Netanyahu “deserving of death” and describing attacks against them as a religious obligation. The Assembly of Experts is the constitutional body responsible for selecting and overseeing Iran’s Supreme Leader, giving its statements considerable political and religious significance.

The declaration reportedly referred to Trump as the “criminal American president” and Netanyahu as the “wicked prime minister of the Zionist regime,” while emphasizing that avenging actions against Iran’s leadership was of paramount importance. The statement has drawn widespread international attention as tensions remain high across the Middle East.

Separately, the Iranian newspaper Hamshahri reportedly published a front-page image showing Trump’s face inside the crosshairs of a rifle scope beneath the headline, “Revenge is certain.” The publication has fueled concerns that hostile rhetoric in Iran continues to escalate despite ongoing discussions about possible diplomatic solutions.

The reported threats come amid continued regional instability. Iran’s military and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been accused of aggressive actions in the Strait of Hormuz and elsewhere in the region, while discussions over a possible peace agreement have yet to produce a breakthrough.

Security experts note that any explicit threat against a sitting U.S. president or a foreign head of government is treated seriously by intelligence and law enforcement agencies. Trump has previously survived an assassination attempt during the 2024 presidential campaign, increasing concerns whenever new threats emerge from extremist individuals or foreign actors.

Some commentators have also raised concerns about the possibility of Iranian operatives attempting to enter the United States through illegal border crossings in recent years. However, no publicly available evidence has confirmed that such individuals are currently operating inside the country or are connected to any active assassination plot. U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies continue monitoring potential threats from foreign governments and terrorist organizations.

Analysts warn that any successful attack linked directly to a foreign government would likely trigger an overwhelming response from the United States and could dramatically escalate an already volatile conflict in the Middle East. For that reason, threats issued by senior Iranian figures are expected to receive close scrutiny from American security agencies as well as Israeli authorities.

While Iranian officials have frequently used harsh rhetoric toward both the United States and Israel over the past several decades, the latest statements have renewed concerns that the ongoing confrontation could become even more dangerous if inflammatory language were ever translated into action.
