Mexican president states that Trump is not…See more

President Donald Trump’s announcement of a “very successful attack” on Iranian nuclear facilities immediately heightened fears of a wider conflict and shattered hopes that tensions in the region might ease. In Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi strongly condemned the strikes, calling them “outrageous” and “criminal” while insisting that Iran retained the right to defend itself. His carefully chosen words carried an unmistakable warning that Tehran could respond in ways that extend far beyond the Middle East.

In both Jerusalem and Washington, supporters of the operation described it as a historic achievement and a major setback for Iran’s nuclear ambitions. They argued that the action removed a serious security threat that had concerned regional allies and Western governments for years.

The reaction across much of Europe, however, was far more cautious and uneasy. Diplomats expressed concern that the world was once again approaching a dangerous turning point, where decades of diplomatic efforts and international agreements could quickly unravel. Officials worried that any further military action or miscalculation could trigger a broader regional conflict with global consequences.

At the United Nations, diplomats and ambassadors carefully weighed every public statement and private discussion. There was a shared recognition that the situation remained extremely fragile and that a single mistake by any side could transform an already dangerous crisis into something far more devastating.

As world leaders monitored developments, uncertainty dominated the international response. Governments prepared for multiple scenarios, from renewed diplomatic negotiations to the possibility of further military escalation. Financial markets, energy producers, and security officials also watched closely, aware that the next move by either Washington or Tehran could have consequences reaching far beyond the immediate conflict zone.

Once again, the world found itself in a familiar but deeply unsettling position—waiting to see who would act next and whether the coming days would bring diplomacy or a new and dangerous chapter of confrontation.
