Trump Says U.S. Will Only Accept Iran’s ‘Unconditional Surrender’..

President Donald Trump said Friday that the United States will not reach an agreement with Iran unless the country agrees to what he described as “unconditional surrender.” In a post on Truth Social, Trump made his position clear. “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” he wrote, according to Newsmax. He added that if Iran were to accept those terms and install what he called “a great and acceptable leader,” the United States and its allies could help rebuild the country’s economy. “After that… we, and many of our very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before,” Trump wrote. He also struck an optimistic tone about the country’s future, concluding his message with a slogan modeled after his campaign mantra: “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!).”

Meanwhile, advanced military technologies are playing a growing role in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Videos released by U.S. Central Command show a U.S. Navy destroyer equipped with the High-Energy Laser with Integrated Optical Dazzler and Surveillance system, known as HELIOS. The laser weapon can focus an intense beam of energy capable of disabling or destroying drones. Additional footage from the skies near the Israel-Lebanon border appears to show rockets being destroyed shortly after launch. Some observers have suggested the interceptions could involve Israel’s experimental Iron Beam laser defense system, though neither the U.S. Navy nor the Israeli military has confirmed its operational use during the ongoing Epic Fury campaign, which began on February 28.

According to reports, U.S. forces struck approximately 1,700 targets during the first 72 hours of fighting. More than 200 Iranian ballistic missile launchers—roughly half of the country’s total inventory—were destroyed or disabled, along with hundreds of missiles. Much of the success has relied on space-based surveillance. Satellites equipped with infrared sensors detect missile launches by tracking the heat generated during liftoff. This information allows defense systems, including Patriot interceptors, to respond quickly. Many of these operations are coordinated from facilities inside the United States, where analysts work within radar domes known as radomes . These structures process real-time satellite data to calculate missile trajectories and warn forces on the ground, allowing them to take cover and intercept incoming threats.
