Police investigating Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance are now focusing on Savannah Guthrie’s son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni. His impounded car revealed “significant” blood evidence. An open back door at their Arizona home further compounds the mystery. The probe has become a high-stakes family drama, sparking fears of a deadly feud or a dark, hidden secret.

The baffling disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie continues to grip Pima CountyArizona, with Sheriff Chris Nanos asserting that “everyone is still a suspect.” Initially, her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni (husband of Nancy’s daughter Annie Guthrie), was believed to be the last person to see her alive. However, Sheriff Nanos has since walked back this certainty, now only stating Nancy was dropped off by ‘family.’ At a Tucson press conference, Nanos refused to confirm if Cioni was considered a suspect, stressing that no one has been ruled out. Investigators are casting a wide net, scrutinizing all connections, from family to service providers, but no suspect or person of interest has been identified yet.

The timeline of Nancy’s vanishing points to early Sunday morning. She was last seen at 9:48 p.m. Saturday, dropped off at her Tucson home after dinner and Mahjong with Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni. She was reported missing midday Sunday after failing to attend an online church service, which family deemed highly uncharacteristic. Critical events unfolded: Nancy’s doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m. Sunday. At 2:12 a.m., movement was detected, but no footage was captured due to an inactive subscription. Most alarming, at 2:28 a.m., Nancy’s pacemaker disconnected from her phone, a detail deeply concerning to investigators and suggesting she may have been taken out of range.

Adding to the urgency, the FBI confirmed an unverified ransom note with deadlines (5 p.m. Thursday, secondary Monday evening) is under active investigation. Sheriff Nanos emphasized the critical nature of Nancy’s medical condition, as she requires daily medication, and its absence could be fatal. The family, including daughters Annie Guthrie and Savannah Guthrie, and son Camron Guthrie, issued an emotional public plea, offering to engage with captors and requesting proof of life. Tommaso Cioni has made no public statements, photographed shielding his face. The investigation proceeds with no clear answers, as police analyze data in a race against time and fading hope.
